WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES RIVALS COLLECT?
The information we gather from users enables us to personalize and improve our services. We collect the following types of information from our users:
Personal Information You Provide to Us:
We receive and store any information you enter on our Service or provide to us in any other way. The types of Personal Information collected may include, but are not limited to, your email address, IP address, latitude and longitude, browser or mobile device information, and any other information necessary for us to provide our services. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features. The Personal Information you provide is used for such purposes as delivering relevant playlists, suggesting songs based on your interests, improving the content of the Service, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about Rivals’s products and services, including announcements and new features. Granting us permission to use your information not only allows us to provide the Service as it exists today, but it also allows us to provide you with innovative features and services we develop in the future that use the information we receive about you in new ways.
Personal Information Collected Automatically:
Whenever you interact with our Service, we may collect and store information that describes how you interacted with the Service. Rivals automatically receives and records information on our server logs including, where applicable, your unique mobile device ID, IP address, cookie information, device type, operating system, timestamps, and any volunteered Facebook profile details.
Generally, our Service automatically collects usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to our Service. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how users use parts of the Service so we can make the Service appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our users, collectively or individually, use our Service. We share this type of statistical data so our partners also understand how people use the Service, so they, too, may provide you with an optimal online and mobile experience.
What About Cookies?
WILL Rivals SHARE ANY OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION IT RECEIVES?
We disclose the information in our systems for the following purposes:
Advertisers: You agree we may use any of the information we have collected from you (including, without limitation, information you may have decided not to show to other users) to select or allow the advertiser to select the appropriate audience for advertisements. For example, we may allow an advertiser to target an ad to you based on your music streaming history, demographics, location, and/or application usage history.
Affiliated Businesses We Do Not Control: We anticipate we may become affiliated with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. In certain situations, these businesses may sell items to you through the Service. In other situations, Rivals may provide services, or sell products jointly with affiliated businesses. Rivals may also provide Personal Information and/or aggregate data to those partners for remarketing purposes, cross device analysis and for monitoring performance metrics
Agents: We may use other companies and people to perform tasks to help us run the Service and sometimes we need to share your information with them to allow them to provide us with the products or services we’ve requested. In addition, we enter into relationships with partners/app developers who provide services to you, sell items or provide promotions to you.
Business Transfers: In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that are transferred. Moreover, if Rivals, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Rivals goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third-party. By using the Rivals Service you acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Rivals or its assets may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this policy.
Protection of Rivals and Others: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Rivals, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
IS PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME SECURE?
Rivals endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private, however, Rivals cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
Rivals adheres to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we are made aware that we have received personally identifiable information from someone under 13, we will use reasonable efforts to remove that information from our records.
